Morgan DeLuna

Morgan DeLuna works as a visual artist and is majoring in Photography at Palomar College. In 2021 she took Creative Writing to explore other forms of storytelling; she has been an English Department groupie ever since.

Rachel Alazar

Rachel Alazar is a pre-nursing student at Palomar College. Since 2018, Rachel has involved herself in a variety of Palomar’s campus culture. She serves as the Governing Board Student Trustee for the Associated Student Government, President of the college’s Phi Theta Kappa chapter, and has previously been a performing musician in Palomar’s own concert band. In her free time, Rachel enjoys writing and volunteering as an Ambassador on Wattpad.

Aimee De Luna

Aimee De Luna is a journalism major in her second year at Palomar college. She is also studying English and marketing as she prepares to transfer to SDSU or Cal Poly in the next year. She has a passion for writing and dreams of working for a magazine and publishing her own books in the future. When she isn’t writing you can find her crocheting, reading, and spending time with her family.

Veronika Kremennaya

Veronika Kremennaya is a long-time student at Palomar. She enjoys writing stories, drawing, and playing video games. She’s also currently working on a video game, and hopes to work in the industry one day.

Gabrielle Le

Gabby Le is completing her A.A. for transfer. She interns with the student-run organization Diversify Your Narrative, based on creating actively anti-racist education. Also a painter, Gabby paints murals in public spaces around San Diego.

Lisette Ortega

Lisette Ortega is an English major at Palomar hoping to transfer soon. Reading and writing are two of her favorite things to do. She enjoy all things creative and crafty.

Zeleni Paez

Zeleni Paez (with her cat, Ken!) has always had a love for literature and creating stories of her own. She is so excited to be an editor for this year’s edition of Bravura and can’t wait to see what’s in store.

Magellan Reyes

Magellan Reyes was born and raised in San Diego, and is currently majoring in Anthropology at Palomar.

Mika Rios-Conseco

Mika Rios-Canseco is an English major graduating this spring. She has a cat named Itachi, an odd obsession with eyeliner, and loves wearing goofy earrings. She also loves all forms of literature and writing all kinds of stories.

Linda Sharp

Linda Sharp is a thirty-something mom of four, reluctantly suburban, who enjoys reading old books and being barefoot outdoors. She describes herself as “An observer of minutiae,” and “Double jointed.”

Amber Skiles

Amber Skiles is a firm believer in expressing your “artsy self.” She loves Bravura because it allows students an open playground to do just that.

Clarity Trier

Clarity Trier is an English major at Palomar College. She hopes to transfer to CSUSM next spring, and further her education. In her spare time, she enjoys playing tennis, embroidering, shopping for vintage clothing, and spending time with her friends and family.

Emma Krane

Emma Krane is a first-year student at Palomar College. She is currently 19 years old and has lived in Southern California her whole life. She joined Bravura as an editor because of her passion for literature and art. She plans to continue her passion for writing and supporting other creatives, as she hopes to do as a Bravura editor.

Alex Farrow is a Midwestern import to Southern California, here he has found a deep love for literature, letters, and natural writing that seems to follow him everywhere.

Shinichi Evans

Shinichi Evans is a longtime San Diegan who posts too many pics of Benny the Cat on his Instagram along with chronicling San Diego suburbia through photography.

Zoila Lara-Cera

Zoila Lara-Cera grew up in Huichin, the unceded land of the Chochenyo Ohlone people. Much of their work centers on their experiences growing up as a brown queer child with dyslexia, ADHD, and a processing disorder. Using a paintbrush and pencil, they fought their way past preconceived notions of inability. Today, they write, draw, and paint at the intersection of disability, race, gender, sexuality, and class.
